God is always watching over you at all times

By Chidozie on August 8, 2012

God is present in your everyday life, leaving you room to recognize Him, or not. Aren’t you glad God’s presence isn’t just reserved for people who deserve it? He visits whiners and complainers, the disgruntled and impatient, the doubtful and indecisive; flawed people like you, who’ve been saved by His grace.

God is your keeper

Jacob was no spiritual giant. Running away after swindling his brother of his birthright and deceiving his father into blessing him, he didn’t deserve what God did for him. After stopping for the night, he dreamed he saw a ladder to heaven with angels of God on it, ascending and descending. Then God gave him this promise: “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go” (Gen 28:15). When Jacob awoke next morning he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”

We see God every day, we just don’t recognize Him. Some of us are tuned in when it comes to sensing His presence, other like Jacob miss it every time. But God is always watching over you at all times, and He shall neither slumber nor sleep. God that watches over you is a shade at your right hand, He will not let the sun to strike you by day nor the moon by night.

THEN JACOB AWOKE FROM HIS SLEEP AND SAID, “SURELY THE LORD IS IN THIS PLACE, AND I DID NOT KNOW IT.” GENESIS 28:16

You never know where He’ll appear or who He’ll speak through. After the resurrection Mary Magdalene thought Jesus was just the gardener. You can be awakened by a miraculous healing, a restored relationship, or even a severe trial. What will it take to get your attention? God revealed himself to Jacob by wrestling with him and dislocating his hip.

Verse of the Day

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? — Psalm 56:3-4 (NIV)
