Your Destiny Your Choices in a World Full of Wrong

Discover Your Destiny

Making right choices in a world full of wrong

Luke 4:16-22 says, “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?”

From the above scriptures, we can see that Jesus knew why He was born, He knew His destiny.

The dreams Joseph had in the Bible were destiny dreams. During his captivity in ancient Egypt, Joseph had to fight off his master’s lustful wife. Several times she tried to seduce the Hebrew house servant. But Joseph vigorously rejected her advances and fled. He knew to refuse her would cost him his job and likely send him to prison, he also knew that his destiny was not to end up in the bosom of his master’ wife.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF DESTINY?

  • It is God’s purpose for your life.

  • It is the divine agenda for your life.

  • It is the reason God created you.

  • It is the reason you were born.

  • It is what God has written in His book about your life.

  • It is your divine road map.

Your destiny is your mission here on earth, it your portion in life. Any power attacking your destiny is your greatest enemy. Once you miss your destiny there is no point living again.

The earlier you discover your destiny, the better you safeguard your future because time does not wait for anybody. If God has destined you to a medical Doctor and you are serving drinks in a joint, you have missed your destiny. Immediately you miss your destiny, the devil has a right to attack you.

The Bible says if you do not fulfill your destiny, it would have been better if you were not born. I simply want you to understand that your greatest enemy is the enemy that does not allow you to fulfill your destiny. Immediately the enemy sees that you are the kind of person who will fly high, your battles will start. It is the tree that has fruits that people throw stones at. If a tree does not bear any fruit nobody will attack it. Joseph realize his destiny on time and his brothers planned to kill him, but ended up selling him into slavery, those who sold Joseph were his enemies even though they did not know that they made a mistake by selling him, they did not understand that it would lead to his promotion.

Just like Jabez an honorable man, realised that his name was a stumbling block to his destiny, his name prevailed against his destiny, and he cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. You need to know your destiny in life, so has to be what God want’s you to be. Many come to this life in vain because they lived outside their destiny
